Record Name Cinnabar Moth caterpillar feeding on ragwort leaf
Record Description This lone caterpillar is usually seen in great numbers devouring the leaves of the ragwort and has been used to control this unwanted weed in pasture. The caterpillar is a prime example of warning colouration. But where are its brothers and sisters? Perhaps not always successful and this, the last one on this leaf may feel rather NERVOUS. Enough of this, Ed.
